last nights rehearsal... wow

We had an awesome rehearsal last night. We're really coming together as a band. We did one familiar song, and a few unfamiliar ones before working on the new single arrangement a little bit.

Here's the first song and it came out so well we're thinking of recording it on our first EP or album!

Other than the fact that I acted like a total noob on stage it went pretty well. crashed 1 song (the one we were trying to video) but the rest were played well.

the second set at the very end of the night was awesome. apparently we inspired on comfortably numb. I was very pleased.

So the n ight went well over all. We got some usable footage at least, and had a good time. got pretty toasty too by the end of the night :D

was great. even though we weren't fully "in form" we played well and got a lot of work done :)

Might actually be ready for the video shoot and single recording that we have coming up :)

wow. had a great rehearsal last night. we are really starting to come together and this feels like it will be what i've been hoping to find for a long while. These guys are so good i have to push myself to keep up on almost every level. This might just be the band i've been waiting to find for at least the last 10 years if not longer. The groove is good, the timing is solid, the musicians are stellar, and they are genuinely nice guys too :)

Second Rehearsal

Well, the second rehearsal came and went and it was great.

I am truly fortunate to be able to play with these two guys. they are very good. :)  it is energizing to play with people that skilled.

and i'm learning tonnes... hopefully fast enough to keep up :)

New Old Song Day!

I revamped an older song a few months ago but have not been happy wiht the lead or the vocals so I redid them and remixed them, and now this is a very shiny song!

Since I did not have any video footage for this one I simply put together a bit of a montage of pictures from my amateur modeling. This is one of the better things I've done so far I think.

Great Jam

Had the pleasure of rehearsing with these guys today.... Dave Thomas and Sean Rickey. Was fabulous. I look forward to the second one.

We had a neighbor tell my roomy we were sounding good, as they passed each other on the street. As well a friend said we sounded like we'd been together for a bit already rather than like we were at day 1 as we were.

I'm feeling really good about this trio. These guys are good people and they are good musicians. I'm going to have to work to keep up!

had an awesome jam last night. Hopefully the first of many rehearsals.

Dave Thomas on keyboards and Rory Goulding on drums and me of course....

This will most likely be the best band I've ever been in. It was truly a pleasure playing with these guys. They are both very skilled and talented and have a good sense of what is appropriate to a groove. They rock. And we soon will rock as a band :)

evening jam...

had some awesome fun going over some songs tonight with my friend Dave Thomas. we went over a few songs, some originals of mine and some covers. My roomy clapped often :)

I was a bit rusty as I hadn't jammed with anyone else in over a month, but it went pretty well aside from some forgotten lyrics :)
